Nigella flowers are also known as Nigella damascena or Love-in-the-Mist. The common name describes how the delicate flower is surrounded by the misty finely divided leaves. The flowers are usually blue or white, but they are also grown for their fascinating seed pods. We often like to combine them with Helichrysum, Canary grass (Phalaris) or wheat (Triticum) to make bright beautiful dried arrangements, for example.
