There are over ten varieties of Veronica available in the shops and they can be recognised by the flower shape in a conical, ascending spike. Veronica is also often seen in gardens, where butterflies flutter happily around it.
SYMBOLIC
The flower Veronica also listens to the name (high) honorary price. This name was given by a Frankish king. The king used the flower on the advice of a hunter and was cured of his leprosy as a result. Thereafter, the flower was referred to as 'honour and prize'.
